Aaron Rodgers had a Twitter argument with... Shooter McGavin?

Arguments over Twitter are nothing new.

Even some of the world’s most high-profile celebrities will get caught in a heated back and forth sometimes.

It’s pretty rare, however, to see one of the best athletes in the world go toe to toe online with a fictional character from a movie.

That’s exactly what happened on Wednesday, when Aaron Rodgers, who is widely considered the best quarterback in football, got into a heated exchange with Happy Gilmore villain, Shooter McGavin.

After a series of back and forths with a number of references to the classic 1996 film, Rodgers posted a poll to see who won the debate and it looks like the fans are siding with him.

That’s not a huge surprise though, because who wants to side with a guy who had Happy Gilmore run over before stealing his Gold Jacket?

It all started when Rodgers said he was going to try and play less golf over the summer and it escalated quickly.
