1. Red Deer hit by a tornado-like wind storm
Red Deer was hit by such a bad wind storm on Tuesday night that there were reports of it being a tornado. It was just a windstorm, but the images and videos surfacing from the Albertan city are crazy to watch.

2. Travis Kalanick resigns as Uber CEO
The New York Times reports that Travis Kalanick has stepped down as CEO of Uber. The report claims that a group of major Uber investors had demanded his resignation. Kalanick had some issues while in the CEO role including a sexual harassment complaint from a former Uber engineer.

3. Trade talks are seriously heating up in the NBA
It’s been a crazy off-season so far for the NBA and it doesn’t look like that will slow down. Ahead of Thursday’s draft, the Los Angeles Lakers traded D’Angelo Russell to the Brooklyn Nets and it’s rumoured that the move was made to bring in Paul George from the Indiana Pacers. Dwight Howard was also dealt from the Atlanta Hawks to the Charlotte Hornets. It’s also rumoured that Kristaps Porzingis and Jimmy Butler could be dealt.

4. Donald Trump’s U.K. visit appears to have been cancelled
Queen Elizabeth II gave a speech on Wednesday morning and it unveiled that a visit from American President Donald Trump is not likely. The Queen listed her upcoming visits, including one from the King of Spain, but didn’t mention anything about Trump’s previously planned trip to the U.K.
And there it isn't: the Queen leaves Donald Trump out of the list of coming visits.

5. Star-studded Grenfell Tower charity single released
A large number of stars including Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Rita Ora recorded a cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s song “Bridge Over Troubled Water” to raise money for those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire. The effort was organized by Simon Cowell.
