Playful Orcas Put on a Show Off B.C.'s Coast

A video of orcas splashing and playing near Galiano Island has been dazzling people on social media, not to mention the people who first spotted them.

Gary Cullen shot the video of near 50 orcas belonging to J and L pods as they travelled through BC’s Active Pass on Sunday afternoon. The video includes a baby that playfully splashes in the water. The playful pods look to be having a fun afternoon together as they breach the water and swim together in unison.

It’s a grand showing of the beautiful whales in the waters off of B.C.’s coast.
