VIDEO: B.C. firefighters use jaws of life to save man trapped in vehicle

A dramatic video showcasing the lifesaving techniques used by firefighters every day was captured and posted to YouTube this week.

In the clip, Surrey firefighters and RCMP use the jaws of life to save a man trapped inside his flipped car.

According to police, the 60-year-old driver of the car hit a parked vehicle, which then hit another parked car, and ultimately resulted in the driver’s vehicle flipping over.

Surrey RCMP did report that the man was then taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
