It’s 2017, but don’t tell that to the woman who made a scene at a Mississauga walk-in clinic.
The unnamed woman was recorded for over four minutes on Sunday afternoon as she raised her voice to clinic staff, requesting a white doctor who spoke English.
“Can I see a doctor please that’s white, that doesn’t have brown teeth and speaks English,” she tells the employee trying to assist her at the clinic. “Okay, listen b***h, don’t get started with me.”
As other people who are waiting for their turn in the walk-in clinic tell her to go to the hospital instead, she continues her beratement of the clinic’s employees.
“I would like to see a white doctor, you’re telling me that there isn’t one white doctor in this entire building,” she says. “Oh my God, so what’s the closest that you have to speaking English?”
She continues on, saying the hospital isn’t an option because “they only have brown doctors.”
As she gets angrier, she starts to ask what kind of country she lives in as the other people at the walk-in start to ask for security.
As she continues so reference the “incompetent” doctors at the hospital as “Paki doctors” with a negative tone, a girl of colour steps up.
“Your child clearly has more issues with you being his mother than him needing to see a doctor,” says the stranger. “You’re extremely rude and racist, you want to talk about Paki people being at a hospital, maybe you should check yourself in.”
The lady in question continues to show ignorance, hypocritically asking why people are “yelling” at her.
She has not yet been identified.
