Manitoba shuts down due to snow storm

It may only be October but Manitoba is switching their Halloween decorations for snow shovels.

In northern cities like Thompson, Lead Rapids and Flin Flon, they’ve had their first snow day of the season. Many homes are without power in Thompson and children are excited to be building snow forts instead of studying in class.
