Spring break is one of the most popular times of year for people to pack their bags and go on a trip.
With the break quick approaching for most schools in Canada, there’s no shortage of options on where to go.
It seems like most Canadians are unsurprisingly craving a little sunshine after a long winter, according to the travel website Kayak.
The site studied Canadians’ top trending searches since last June for travel between March 4th and April 17th and released an infographic showing the top destinations for each province.
For British Columbians, the beach is calling as Maui, Hawaii topped the list with a 233% growth in searches.
Saskatchewanians seem to be thinking along the same lines as Honolulu, Hawaii topped the list for the prairie province with a 144% increase in searches for the state’s capital.
The biggest spike belongs to Ontarians, as searches for spring break travel to Havana, Cuba increased an astonishing 816% since last June.

One of the bigger surprises comes from Albertans, whose top spring break destination looks to be Auckland, New Zealand, showing a 203% increase in searches since the summer.
The rest of the province seems to be following the sunny destination trend, however, with Cancun, Los Angeles, San Juan and Fort Lauderdale topping the list for various provinces.
