Tim Hortons tricked coffee snobs into drinking their lattes and they loved them

Tim Hortons is one of the most adored establishments in all of Canada, but that doesn't mean everyone loves their trademark coffee and donuts.

For some, Tim Hortons blend of beans just isn't up to the sophisticated standards of a true coffee snobs palate.

But how much of this preferred taste in coffee is based on the label on the coffee cup versus the actual taste?

Tim Hortons indirectly conducted this experiment while testing out their new premium espresso-based drinks on a trendy strip in Toronto.

One of the coolest neighbourhoods in the world according to Vogue, Queen West is like a mecca for discerning coffee drinkers and self-proclaimed coffee snobs.

Under the guise of Perfectly Uncomplicated Lattes, the Tim Hortons pop-up has been operational for most of April already. On Facebook, it’s garnered a 4.6-star rating and a handful of positive reviews from unsuspecting customers.

Tim Hortons will debut its premium espresso-based beverages at 3,500 Tim Hortons restaurant locations across Canada on May 26.
