India is getting the royal treatment as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge embark on their first royal visit to India.
Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton touched down in Mumbai on Sunday, kicking off their seven day visit.
Their first outing in India had the pair laying a wreath at the Taj Mahal Palace to commemorate the victims of the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008. The couple spent time chatting with the staff who helped protect guests during the attacks.
The Duke and Duchess then took an open-top bus tour of Mumbai with children from a local charity called Apnalya.
The bus tour ended at the Oval Maiden where Prince William and Kate met cricket legends Dilip Vengsakar and Sachin Tendulkar.

The Duchess even got in on the action, participating in a game with some of the children from the CHILDLINE children’s charity.
Sunday evening the royal couple replaced sports with glamour, attending a Bollywood Charity Gala at the Taj Mahal. The event was a fundraiser for three charities, Magic Bus India, CHILDLINE and Door Step.
Prince William delivered a speech to conclude the gala.
“When Catherine and I were married, India was the first place on Catherine’s list that she told me she wanted to visit. Two children and five years later, we have finally made it- and we are both honoured to be here. Catherine and I embark on a journey to get to know the vibrant India of the 21st century.”
