Those people who still are using the Samsung Note 7, even with several recalls warning you against it, are now not allowed to bring the phone on flights.
The U.S. Department of Transportation, with the Federal Aviation Administration and the hazardous Materials Safety Administration have announced that there is an emergency order to ban all Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone devices from flights.
Those who have a Note 7 cannot travel with it. The phone cannot be on the person, in carry-on baggage or in checked baggage. The ban is effective immediately for flights to, from or within the U.S.
Air Canada has also announced the same rules.
Traveller cannot board an Air Canada flight with the device on them or in their checked luggage. People arriving at any airport with this device could experience travel disruptions and possibly miss flights.
Transport Canada also released a statement about the phones saying the phone is not allowed on any aircraft, not just Air Canada.
