World reaches out after London attack

After an attack that killed four people in people in London, including a police officer, people from around the world are reaching out in support of the city.

“My thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy are with all those who have been affected by yesterday's awful violence,” The Queen wrote in a statement on Thursday.

In Canada, Prime Minister Trudeau strongly condemned the attack.

“Canada and the U.K. are the closest of friends and allies. Our friendship is based on shared values and history – indeed, Canada’s Parliament is a descendant of the Chamber targeted this morning,” he said. “Canadians stand united with the British people in the fight against terrorism. We will continue to work together with the U.K. and all our allies to show the world that freedom and democracy will always triumph.”

On social media, other public figures and celebrities spoke out as well.
