Potter Pals rejoice! Word has come that young Dumbledore has been cast for the sequel of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I'm assuming the news took so long because someone's owl got lost, but none the less get excited!
Dumbledore has always been a beloved character in the books, and his portrayal in the movies has been lovingly adored, though at times has brought controversy (looking at you Goblet of Fire).
His kind heart, quick wit, and fierce magical capabilities have made him one of the greatest wizards in the magical realm, tough shoes to fill.
It was announced on the Pottermore website on Wednesday that Jude Law will be stepping into those shoes. A celebrated actor both on screen and stage, the handsome and talented Jude Law may not be who you were expecting but could very well be just what we Potterhead's need.

The role of Dumbledore has been a hard one to cast but throughout the original series, fans grew to respect the character that both Michael Gambon and Richard Harris brought to life.
The Fantastic Beasts series is set many years before Dumbledore was ever headmaster of Hogwarts but was still the transfiguration professor and a contemporary of dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, who has been played by Johnny Depp.
We know he is a favourite of both Newt and Hagrid because of his soft spot for magical creatures, so his introduction and role in the new series is stirring up some major hype.
Though we have come to love the sassy, bearded, and all-knowing elderly Albus, young and handsome Dumbledore has been said to be at a completely different time in his life according to Queen Rowling.
This shift should make for an interesting take on our great headmaster, but we think Jude Law could be up for the challenge. Filming for the second film of the Fantastic Beasts series begins this summer and has a release date for November 2018 slotted.
