Bachelor in Paradise investigation finds no evidence of sexual misconduct

Bachelor in Paradise will resume production following the investigation into sexual misconduct involving cast members DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios.

On Tuesday, Warner Brothers, who produces the reality series, announced that the show had been cleared of the allegations.

“We can say that the tape does not support any charge of misconduct by a cast member,” said a press release from Warner Brothers. “Nor does the tape show, contrary to many press reports, that the safety of any cast members was ever in jeopardy.”

Production was initially halted on the show’s Sayulita, Mexico set just over a week ago after a producer filed a complaint over an alleged sexual encounter between Olympios and Jackson.

With alcohol involved, there was question of whether one or both parties may have been too intoxicated to give consent.

Olympios called herself “a victim,” while Jackson said his character had “been assassinated” following the incident.

All contestants were sent home to American soil following the initial allegations and will be returning to the set in Mexico now that the investigation is complete.

There’s no word on whether Olympios or Jackson will still be involved with the show and there’s also no word on whether the season will still debut on August 8th.
