Studio 322 is kicking off its Red Room Paint Night series tonight and there are two chances in April to catch the classes at the downtown Kamloops clubhouse.
The collective plans to host four classes per month with various themes, full bar service and a live DJ. They’ve partnered with Red Collar to serve up some local brews and ensure the creative juices flow freely.
Studio 322 houses several young entrepreneurs and the group is teaming up for the weekly Paint Night, with resident artist Zachary Abney leading the classes. Abney is an Emily Carr University grad and a portrait and landscape painter who works in mainly oil paint or charcoal.
Common Sound is taking care of the music and Avenue Media House will have a live AV feed. Studio 322 also includes Kapture Photography and Mark Your Moments Photography.
No experience is necessary for Paint Night and all materials will be provided. You’ll be creating on a 16- by 20-inch canvas and take home your artwork at the end of the night.
If you can’t check out tonight’s launch, get your tickets online for the April 10th or April 24th session. They are only selling 12 tickets for the first three sessions, so space is limited.
The Monday classes run 7 p.m to 9 p.m. and doors open at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $40. These are 19-plus events.
