Travellers on the Coquihalla Highway will once again have a great option for food and drinks without having to wait until their arrival in Hope or Merritt.
It’s elevated dining, but not in the typical fashion, as The Lunch Bucket food truck is set to reopen for the summer near the Coquihalla summit next week.
The very popular spot to stop for food, drinks or treats will reopen at the Zopkios brake check, on Tuesday, owner Jennifer Hepting has confirmed.
The Lunch Bucket is a perfect spot for long-haul truckers to grab a quick bite without having to stray off their route.
But it has also become a very popular spot for the general travelling public to stop and eat on their way from the Interior to the coast, or vice versa.
Hepting’s annual spring announcement about reopening is always met by a barrage of comments from excited customers ready to make the food truck part of their summer travel plans.
The Lunch Bucket menu features plenty of options, like burgers, smokies, hot dogs, sandwiches and fish and chips, along with a number of all-day breakfast selections.
You can also get a variety of hot and cold beverages and even an ice cream treat.
Summer hours for The Lunch Bucket are 8 am until 7 pm on weekdays and 10 am until 6 pm on weekends.
