Kamloops Innovation partnered with Vancouver’s Early Entrepreneurs to put together the first ever Innovation Camp at TRU.
A group of students, age 10 to 12, participated in the camp that explored HTML coding, logo design, 3D printing and business marketing.
During the camp the kids were asked to put together a small business plan and website.

Executive Director for Kamloops Innovation, Lincoln Smith says the campers had a lot of talent.
“It was a lot of fun to see the unconstrained thinking that comes from young people”, said Smith. “The participants in our first Innovation Camp learned about and had the opportunity to experience the process of starting a new venture, and their final business pitches were impressive.”
The student’s final projects were presented in front of parents and local start-up companies in Kamloops.
