Kamloops Search and Rescue were called to recover two bodies from a car accident near Spences Bridge early Friday morning.
The volunteer team received the call at 3 a.m. to assist the Nicola Valley Search and Rescue after a vehicle went off the road and down a 175-foot embankment.
All three people were ejected from the vehicle during the fall.
One person was ejected near the top and was able to walk away and get help.
The other two people died in the accident.

Search and Rescue recovered one body halfway down the hill, and the other travelled an additional 85 meters beyond the vehicle.
“It’s pretty steep. We required rope rescue teams to go down and access the two individuals,” said Kamloops Search and Rescue Manager Alan Hobler.
Search and Rescue teams assisted RCMP by recovering the bodies so the police and coroner can complete the investigation.
