Kamloops RCMP have provided more information since the original story was published.
Just before noon, Kamloops RCMP responded to a report of a shot fired from a residence in the 900 block of 13th St.
The residence in question is well known to police.
RCMP found eight people in the residence upon arrival and determined that an occupant had discharged a firework from the porch.
RCMP arrested one of the occupants who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for breach of probation.
Another occupant was in possession of methamphetamine which has been seized by the police.
An investigation on the drug possession is ongoing.

The sound of fireworks caused some concern for residents in North Shore Friday afternoon.
RCMP were called to a home on 13th St. in the afternoon after receiving a call of gun shots.
"No one was arrested. After investigation, officers determined the sound came from fireworks," said Cpl. Jodi Shelkie.
