A federal party leader will be giving her two-cents in the Ajax Mine debate.
Elizabeth May, leader of the federal Green Party, will be visiting Kamloops on Friday, July 29, to discuss the proposed Ajax Mine.
A town hall meeting, hosted by the Kamloops Area Preservation Association, will feature May and local dignitaries in a discussion regarding the proposed mine located to south-west of Kamloops.
The meeting is free to the public and will take place at St. Andrews on the Square, located at Second Avenue and Seymour Street from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.
The copper and gold mining project continues to be in the environmental assessment phase, however, it has been temporarily suspended to allow KGHM to address concerns from the public and environmental assessment offices.
