Three-year-old Kamloops resident, Madi, has made the holiday season a little brighter for one city employee.
KamloopsBCNow reader Jen Barter couldn’t help but share the touching message her daughter delivered to their garbage collection worker this morning — reminding us all to spread kindness during this busy Christmas season.
Barter said Madi absolutely loves garbage day, and the gentleman who drives truck makes a point of waving at her in the window as he drives by. Every week, Madi looks forward to waving to “her friend," as she calls the driver.
“She coloured him a Christmas card and asked that we get him a small gift for Christmas,” Barter said. “We presented them to him today and finally got to meet Dave, our driver.
“It warmed my heart to watch this and I wanted to share as a happy holiday spirit story and the hearts of young ones here in our community.”
Madi's gesture has certainly melted our hearts! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone!
