High water has forced the City to close the pier at Riverside Park until further notice. It comes a couple days after the closure of Rivers Trail between Riverside and Pioneer Park as river flows continues to rise.
The city is asking residents to obey signage in the area.

"At the moment we are continuing to monitor the levels based on the predictions that the B.C. River Forecast Centre is providing to us," said communications manager Tammy Robertson.
"We are obviously watching to see if we're going to hit the 2012 mark. We're not certain we are going to hit that level this year, but we could. So, we just have to continue to be vigilant and stay on top of it and be ready to enact more protective measures."
A high streamflow advisory is still in effect for the Thompson River. The River Forecast Centre says the North Thompson River at McLure is expected to see ongoing rises through Thursday and recede into the weekend, while the South Thompson River at Chase is expected to steadily rise through the rest of the week.
The City of Kamloops expects water levels to peak over the next couple weeks.
