A top talent agency in British Columbia will open an office in Kelowna to help with the growing demand with the film industry in the Okanagan.
Boss Management Inc. has announced it plans to develop operations in Kelowna, because of market demand. A provider for supplying talent for film and television production, Boss Management says that more and more productions are moving from Vancouver to the Okanagan and the demand remains steady.
Boss will offer talent representation for work on all slated productions in the area as well, in Vancouver. The new office, which will open in the next few weeks, will allow Boss to work with the local talent directly and prepare them for what’s expected. The company also has plans to open two locations on Vancouver Island in the immediate future.
“The opening of Boss’s Kelowna office is an important step representing quality performers. Working closely with talent is an important part, being confident in the quality of performer you’re representing to production,” said Sonya Siltani, CEO. “The new office will be the first of many important changes for the company in 2016. The Netflix effect is happening and we must be able to respond and meet the demand.”
Boss Management currently serves all extras, principal, and commercial casting, with over 40 productions slated to shoot in Vancouver this season.
