According to a recent poll, B.C. residents are growing fonder of Premier Christy Clark.
The Angus Reid Institute released information on the approval rates of each premier in Canada.
Clark recently imposed a 15 per cent tax on foreign buyers of Metro Vancouver homes. It was a gamble that appears to be paying off.
This policy change has given Clark the most drastic quarterly increase in her job performance approval since winning re-election in 2013, up seven points since the spring.
Clark is now approved of by 34 per cent of residents.
Despite this bounce, Clark’s ratio of disapproval to approval is still nearly two-to-one.
She is also trailing multiple other premiers including leader Saskatchewan’s Brad Wall, who has a 57 per cent approval rate.
