PHOTOS: Mega-mall opens just outside of Vancouver

A new 1.2 million square foot mall has opened just outside of Vancouver and people are excited.

Tsawwassen Mills, which is located 45 minutes from Vancouver, had its grand opening on Wednesday. Hundreds of people lined up before the mall even open to get the first look inside the shopping centre. The new mall features a huge Bass Pro Shops, H&M, Aldo outlet, Banana Republic factory store, Guess Factory Store, Michael Kors and much more.

The shopping centre is modelled on the success of CrossIron Mills in the Calgary Region and Vaughan Mills in the Greater Toronto Area.

The artwork inside Tsawwassen showcases traditional First Nations heritage with a pop of modern art.

Not only are there premium fashion stores, but there are a lot of food vendors, too. The mall has a 1,100-seat food hall. Yum!

On opening day, traffic plans were put into place and police officers were on hand to handle growing crowds.
