The first round of the WHL Bantam Draft is in the books and the Kamloops Blazers have added one player to their program.
Kamloops took Josh Pillar with the 14th overall selection.

The right-handed center played last season for the Sask Valley Vipers of the Saskatchewan Bantam AA League.
The 5’11”, 150 lbs native of Warman, SK put up 18 goals and 36 assists in just 25 games, adding 10 goals and nine assists in 10 playoff games.
"We are very happy to be able to select Josh with our first pick," commented Director of Player Personnel, Matt Recchi. "Josh is a skilled player that plays the game hard and relentless. He is a competitive player and the leader of his team. We look forward to him being part of our program."
Pillar helped his team to the Canadian Western Bantam Championship finals this season.

In five games at the tournament, he had six goals and three assists.
The Blazers have 15 more selections to make over the course of the WHL Bantam Draft.
