The contest, Doodle 4 Google, was announced March 15th for grades kindergarten to 12.

The goal is to redesign the Google logo in a way best commemorates Canada's 150th birthday.

The theme is "What I see for Canada's future is..."

The doodle champion will receive a $10,000 scholarship, a $10,0000 technology grant for school, and a paid trip to the final event in Toronto this June.

Google is already helping get the creative juices flowing with its own designs.

“Doodle 4 Google is a chance for young Canadians to dream and think big. At Google, we are trying to make the future world a better place, by building new technologies, investing in initiatives and making the internet more accessible,” said Google vice president and Google Canada managing director, Sam Sebastian.

“We’re excited to see how students imagine the next 150 years!”

Make sure you get your work of art signed by a parent, or legal guardian and handed in by May 2nd.

How about you, Kelowna? Any school students participating?
