UPDATE: 12:30 p.m: The Trans Canada Highway section between Sicamous and Salmon Arm has now opened to single lane alternating traffic, according to DriveBC.
Original Story:
A mudslide five kilometres east of Canoe, BC has resulted in the closure of Highway 1 in both directions between Salmon Arm and Sicamous.
However, an alternate route is open through Highway 97B and 97A.
DriveBC will provide another update at 10:00 a.m.
