Live it Now: Be Supportive!

Hello Friends! Hope you all enjoyed the long weekend! Time well spent with friends and family. Supporting each other by listening to the same stories told over and over again by that charming relative you embrace warmly at every gathering. Or maybe you smile through clenched teeth trying to find the patience to tolerate it. Regardless of where the thoughts tumble, ask yourself, if you are a supportive person. It’s been showing up in my world on ALL levels over the past month. Supporting others in their wellness journey is what we do at the studio and of course, I’m all in 100%! Do the people in your world... Your core people, support your path? Encouraging you every step of the way? Or can you feel the resistance to change? Do you support yourself? Setting yourself up for success... Surrounding yourself with likeminded people... Letting go of habits that keep you in a rut... Writing down goals and affirmations and reading them daily... Being present and honest with where you’re at... Allowing yourself to stumble from time to time and be ok with it... Support YOU! The way you do others.

Perhaps you don’t always agree with what someone is doing or saying, but you really like/love that human... You support them regardless, yet not their choices at the time. Can we support someone without agreeing with them? Example: someone is sharing a story about another where they feel scorned and salty about an exchange, yet you like both of those people and don’t want to "pick a side." If you say nothing but "I’m sorry you felt that way," does it support both sides... Without getting caught up in having to say something more tangible. I have found myself struggling with where I "expected" support (expectations trend towards disappointment, every time) A wonderful woman came to me and reminded me of who I am, even as a small business owner. Her words still resonate... "If you become jaded and resentful your heart closes.'’ I needed to hear that more than I realized! A closed heart... Closed doors... If I’m angry... Feeling unsupported... The energy I give off will not bring joy to my life or those around me. The shift was almost immediate. I meditated and journaled… Did some big self-love and cleansing at http://www.blissfloatcentre.ca/... And found that while I was feeling unsupported in certain aspects, I was not supporting myself at ALL! Ah-ha moment! As it all comes full circle, wherein your life could you support yourself and others more?

I am surrounded by glorious people every day, some who support me (hold space for me) and others I give support to (holding space for them) and some who don’t require anything because they support themselves. It’s interesting to watch the dynamic organically transform from day to day. The flow of life, the variables that change our needs and tolerance. I support YOU! Know that... Even If we have never met... If you’re reading this and feel unsupported... I got you! Find ways to support yourself first, even just 60 minutes of self-care here and there throughout the week. Maybe an entire day is not a reasonable thought... Do what you can... When you can! It’s your life... It’s waiting... LIVE IT NOW!
