Hello Friends! 2017 has come to a close; Christmas is deconstructed and we get to hit the reset button!
Things may not have gone as planned in my world, but the much-needed relaxation was only surpassed by the quality family time. I'm feeling pretty damn grateful!
As we say hello to 2018, I wanted to share a few of my favourite things of 2017. The opportunity to write this little column for KamloopsBCNow is one of them for sure!
Favourite Road Group: Jo Berry’s Run Club
Welcoming group of ego-less runners who know how to get it done while having fun! Perfect for beginners or elites!
Favourite ‘Sole’ provider: Runner’s Sole
The knowledgeable and friendly staff will always help you find the perfect fit!
Favourite trainer: Brianna Lee
Having been a personal trainer myself, finding Bri was unexpected. She challenges me every time and helps me find my edge in ways I didn’t realize I still had in me!
Favourite Trail Running Series: Dirty Feet
No one gets left behind (or I’d still be lost out there somewhere). This group is full of amazing and inspiring trail beasts!
Favourite Group Fitness: F3Fit
This is an amazing team that provides something for every level. Quality over quantity! Their motto- Learn Build Improve and I can say that I have done just that.
Favourite work out apps:
FITSPARK: Anywhere, anytime, any level. Body weight routines that help you move no matter where you are. (Created by a local woman named Tammy whose wonderfully empowering energy is hard not to be charged by)
GAIA On Line: Offers all levels of yoga and meditation. Although a yearly membership is $100, it fits my budget easier than a studio. If only I could make our living room hot hot hot!
Must-have gear:
Shoes: Saucony Triumph (years of these babies)
Headphones: Avantree Joggers (wireless and light as a feather)
Leggings: Kristina Benson Art (Local talent! Amazing quality! LOVE THEM!)
I could go on, but these are my go-to things that keep me mobile! Movement is the gift that keeps on giving. You are worth the effort! Life is waiting, Live it Now!
