Let's Create a Buzz Together! A Pollinator Presentation
Join Bee City Kamloops and the City of Kamloops for a free presentation by Calgarian David Misfeldt. David was the project manager who created a pollinator corridor along Canyon Meadows Drive boulevard. The corridor features native flowers, grasses and shrubs, nesting habitats, and a viewing log that visitors can open to see bees working. Over 300 children were involved in planting flowers. But the discovery of an endangered cuckoo Bumble Bee on the site created the biggest buzz in Calgary!
David emphasizes the importance of collaborations, partnerships and knowledge sharing in creating pollinator habitat.
His talk takes place Wednesday October 23rd 7:00 pm at the Valley First Lounge in the Sandman Centre.
