I don't need an award... I just need to know I given more than I've taken, lived, loved and learned to the best of my ability.

Nelson Mandela
Who inspires you?
My Mom because she is amazing!
What are three things on your bucket list?
Travel North America for months on end, hiking, biking and SUPing my way through all the nooks and crannies I haven't already explored. (once I retire of course!)
Live like a local for months at a time in different parts of the world.
The third one is a secret!
Please tell us about a defining moment in your life
Only one? ..... so many "moments" define my life. Having children when that wasn't my original plan....being in the right place at the right time to meet my husband.... summiting Kilimanjaro.... the list goes on.
If you had an enormous yacht, what would you name it?
I wouldn't have yacht.... I get sea sick!
If you could foresee a single day of your future in its entirety, what date would you select?
My 100th birthday, I hope I can remember it!
What are you passionate about?
Big question! My family, travelling and giving back (I'm a Rotarian after all! ).
What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point?
Can't pick one day, it's been a pretty good life so far.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Teaching my kids the value of another person.
Where is your favourite place to dine in your city?
Can't pick just one..... Nandi's, Mittz's, The Noble Pig .....
What is your favourite activity or event in your city?
I love Kamloops because of all the activities it has to offer. The mountains, the lakes, the parks, the people.

If you could achieve one thing within your field, what would it be?
Having been in my industry over 30 years, I think I've already done that. We're still here and growing.
Where do you want your business/organization to be in five years?
Alive, well and growing!
What three qualities do you feel that your business/organization exemplifies?
1 - Community support. We give back 1% of our net profit back to our community.
2- Expertise. Our slogan is "we've seen it, we've experienced it, and you can count on our expertise". It really is who we are as a company. First-hand knowledge sets us apart.
3- Customer service.
What would you like to say to your employees/volunteers?

How does your business/organization impact the community?
I'm very proud of the fact that we've been able to work with so many organizations in Kamloops to help their fundraising efforts. It all makes our community a better place to live!
What makes you successful? Tell us about it.
I'm a firm believer in "what goes around, comes around". I hope that I/we are successful because we've done just that.
If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?
Not applicable, I take the stairs.
If I could change one thing about the city you live in, it would be:
The last little while, I've noticed our transient population explode. It's unnerving for locals and tourists alike. I would really like to our community leaders put more time and effort into making our city more welcoming and comfortable. We have such a great downtown, I'd hate to see it decline.
What do you think makes your city great?
So many things make our city great. The people.... I love going to an event and seeing artsy people mixing with business people and seniors with our youth. The landscape....how many cities have beautiful hikes right in the heart of the city.... The options....... symphony, theatre, sporting events, "boutique" shopping, fabulous farmers markets...The spirit. For the size of Kamloops, I think we are such a giving community. I'm so proud of our city.
