Meet Natalie Sky. Natalie has lived in Kamloops on and off for almost ten years. She is an honest woman who loves spending time with her husband and creating art.

Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kamloops?
I say I am from Kamloops because that is where I spent most of my time. I have lived in Kamloops on and off for almost 10 years.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My husband Andrew, because he's my best friend. He understands and supports my dreams.

What is your favourite local store in Kamloops and why?
Far and Wide because I want to live there. Paper Unicorn because it makes me feel happy. Mainstreet because of the lovely service and amazing clothes.

Describe yourself in one word.
Honest.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Venice, because it's Venice.

What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
Creating.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
If I told you I would have to kill you.

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Other artists creating with me.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
My dad used to carve cheese animals for me, I mean who doesn't want a cheese frog.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
My Church, and on occasion the SPCA, JABC Kamloops, and Habitat for Humanity.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
I would love it if people weren't starving or homeless, but I would rather they feel loved because you can conquer much with love.

Where would you sneak away to in Kamloops to spend some time alone?
My House.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kamloops and why?
I would love for people to understand the importance of the art community and how much it can change people.

What do you think makes Kamloops great?
The people here in Kamloops are amazing and including.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
Be famous.
Create an EP or album.
Impact people with what I create.

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I snort when I laugh really hard.

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media?
However they want, I am always open to chat with people in whatever format.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Natalie Sky Photography.

Why did you get into/start this business?
I love creating in any format I can, and I love spending time with the brides and grooms on their special day. I always want to be the easier part of their day and make them feel comfortable.

What is the goal of your business?
To create beautiful content.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Self Doubt.

What do you always find yourself saying?
"Oh my Lanta."

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Love people no matter what.

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Jeremy Koreski, Photographer who inspires me.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
If you support your local community it will only become a better place to live and be known for good people and good product.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Being published was amazing.

Give someone you think that deserves it a shout out and explain why!
Ginger Turley Artistry, She has been in the industry for over 20 years, she’s kind and loving and she's a force to be reckoned with. Also Avenue Media House and Studio 322, these guys are so kind and true artists.
