Meet Nathan Jones. Nathan is from Abbotsford but has lived in Kamloops for almost 20 years. He is an outdoorsman who loves to mountain bike and ski!
Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kamloops?
Abbotsford, in Kamloops since 2000.
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
Probably my son because we are so alike but also not because we are so alike.
What is your favourite local store in Kamloops and why?
Be Teased, good healthy, reasonably priced food.
Describe yourself in one word.
Stubborn.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Alaska, to ski!
What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
Mountain Biking.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
There are too many to choose from.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Anyone I see that comes into CrossFit and keeps at it, gets healthy and truly changes their lifestyle! That to me is the most motivating. Just seeing people transform.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Learning to ski in elementary school, going up the rope tow once then hopping on the chairlift and trying to ski blacks.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
Every month we have a charity workout where we ask for donations to give to our yearly charity that year. Last year we donated to the wildfire fund and the SPCA.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Corruption in Politics and government. That’s a can of worms.
Where would you sneak away to in Kamloops to spend some time alone?
Pineview bike trails.
Where would you like to see positive change in Kamloops and why?
See more support put into trial development.
What do you think makes Kamloops great?
The amount of green space and easily accessible hiking, biking and general outdoor experience.
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
Ski and climb in Europe and South America. And Alaska.

I love to eat Nachos at home in the evening.

Why did you get into/start this business?
Love for getting healthy.

Promote health and wellness.

Staying positive.

"You should have....." It’s a bad habit I’m trying to break.

To support our small businesses.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Getting sober 7 years ago.
