Meet Tikka. Tikka was born and raised in Kamloops. Tikka is a majestic pup who loves to hang with her sister and run!
Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kamloops?
I was born in Kamloops 4 years ago.
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My sister, Sequoia. She's my best friend in the whole world. We do everything together.
What is your favourite local store in Kamloops and why?
I don't really like to shop but when I have to go with mom I like to go to Purity Feed. They have the best bones in town and when I go with mom for a ride I always get lots of pets.
Describe yourself in one word.
Majestic.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
To the forest because the wild is always calling to me.
What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
Running...anywhere.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
One time when I was just a little pupper I farted on the floor and it was so loud it scared me! Not my most majestic moment.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
When Sequoia came home I was so excited to be a big sister. I liked being an only doggo but having a baby sister is way better. I got to teach her how to do all the doggo things I love and it was like doing them for the first time again. We are partners in crime in everything we do. She got hurt pretty badly this last summer and it was really hard for her while she was healing after her surgery. But, she is the toughest, happiest doggo and never lets it get her down. She's right back on her feet and running her heart out with me again.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
The first time my mom and dad took me backpacking was amazing. We got to hike way up in the mountains and I smelled so many wonderful smells and ran truly wild and free. Mom and dad snuggled me right down the middle of the tent between them and I woke up to cold mountain air and wilderness. When they pack their bags now it's one of my favourite sights because it means we're going into the wild.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I keep our farm safe every day. I chase away coyotes and bears and keep everyone safe. Mom taught me not to eat the chickens so I even keep them safe now too.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
I want every doggo to have a full belly, a warm, safe bed and a human that loves them as much as mine love me. My humans would do anything for me and I wish every pupper had someone like that too.
Where would you sneak away to in Kamloops to spend some time alone?
My farm and our beach on the North Thompson river.
Where would you like to see positive change in Kamloops and why?
I just want to see all the wilderness protected always for us doggos to have places to run free.
What do you think makes Kamloops great?
All the wild!
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1. Go to the mountains.
2. Eat bags and bags of salt and vinegar chips.
3. Run wild.
Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I can't swim. I just sort of sink. But I love the water!

Why did you get into/start this business?
I was born majestic.
What is the goal of your business?
To encourage people to get out there with their doggos. Run wild friends.
What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Sometimes mom and dad go places and don't take me with them. It's truly awful. I've learned to load myself into the truck the minute I see them packing bags so they can't go without me.
What do you always find yourself saying?
Are we going now?

Run. Run wild and run free.
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
My dad is my favourite person in the whole world. He goes away every week and is gone for a while. I miss him lots while he's gone. I always do my best to look after mom and I always keep his side of the bed warm while he's away. I want to spend every minute with him while he's home so a whole day with him would be the best day of all days, ever!
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
Local shops give all the best belly rubs. I never get any pets when mom buys online.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
One time I saved mom from a bear. I was only 6 months old and I chased it right up a tree. I was pretty proud of myself and she gave me lots of kisses so she must have been too.

Some general comments I would like to share are:
My mom and dad call me their little wolf but I'm actually a husky mutt. We don't know for sure what kind of doggo I am. I'm really tall though, and when I stand up to dance with my ma I look her right in the eye!
