In September, Canada's Vimy Foundation launched the "Great World in Colour" a travelling exhibit of 150 images taken during the First World War between 1914 and 1918.

The exhibit features colourized WW I photos in addition to historical information and educational resources.

The First World War is considered to be the first major conflict in which large number of soldiers made use of a camera.
