This coming Wednesday will be my last workout as a co-leader of November Project Kelowna. Woah.
For those of you who might not have heard of what November Project is, no worries I’m going to tell you.
NP as we fondly refer to it, is a free outdoor workout that happens every Wednesday morning at 6:29 downtown Kelowna. We meet at the Sails and there is a sense of wildness, community and fun to each and every workout.
Do you remember recess as a kid? It’s kind of like that, with a lot of positivity... but for adults. Although kids and dogs are absolutely welcome.
I started November Project back in the summer of 2015 with a friend of mine named Keith. Since then I have brought on two more co-leaders Kwame + Steve. That’s a lot of Wednesdays if you stop and count. This is where I pass the torch and step down for them to take the reigns.
There are a lot of life lessons I’ve taken from co-leading this wild movement over the last four years. The main one is one I’m going to share with you today.
When in doubt you should celebrate. There are way too many things in this life that can take away joy. Celebration is the one sure fire thing that I know gives me back my joy.
Celebrate:
Differences,
Similarity,
Others,
Ups,
Downs,
Time,
Commitment,
Community,
Friends,
Fun,
Moving whatever way you can,
Big hugs,
Freedom,
And most importantly,
Love.
Just celebrate.
It’s been an awesome long haul and I feel so good with this decision. NP is in different hands and that’s a beautiful thing. I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned, the people I’ve met and the opportunities that have come + will come because of my time with November Project Kelowna.
Go out there and celebrate and love people, okay?
See you all somewhere soon,
Roz
