1. Two dead, several injured in B.C. lumber train derailment
Two people have died after a logging train derailed in Woss on northern Vancouver Island. Three others are being treated and an investigation into the cause in underway, the RCMP said in a statement.

2. One police officer killed in Paris terror attack
The French Interior Ministry has confirmed one police officer died and two other were injured in a shooting on Champs-Elysees in Paris. The shooter also died. A Self-styled Islamic State has claimed responsibility.

3. Skrillex pulled over, handcuffed in Hollywood
According to his Tweets, the famous DJ Skrillex, a.k.a Sonny Moore, was pulled over for playing loud music from his car and later cuffed when he failed to show proper identification. Moore didn't seem too phased by it all, he even took some time out to compliment Elon Musk on Tesla's sound system.

4. Nashville Predators, Pittsburgh Penguins move on to round two of the NHL Playoffs
Nashville's goaltender Pekka Rinne stood on his head as the Preds swept the favoured Chicago Blackhawks. The defending champion Pittsburg Penguins are also moving on to the second round after they took care of the Columbus Blue Jackets in five games.
