1. Final election results will likely be in today
B.C. will know will likely know the final results of the 2017 election before the end of the day. Barring any last minute drama, Elections BC will reveal the results of the recounts and absentee votes, which could swing a riding or two. Courtenay-Comox already switched from an NDP win to a Liberal win on Tuesday, but it may even switch again.

2. Ottawa forces a game seven
The Eastern Conference finals are going the distance. A day after Nashville punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals, Pittsburgh had a chance to join them with a game six win. They were unable to put away the Senators, however, as Ottawa took the game 2-1 to force a decisive game seven back in Pittsburgh on Thursday.

3. Tom Cruise confirms that a Top Gun sequel is happening
Tom Cruise dropped some big news on an Australian breakfast show on Tuesday. The actor confirmed that a Top Gun sequel will be happening and that filming would start within a year.

4. Court ruling paves the way for Taiwan to legalize same-sex unions
The highest court in Taiwan has given its parliament two years to legislate for same-sex marriages. The court ruled that Article 972 of the Civil Code, which states that marriage is between a man and a woman, is unconstitutional. Taiwan would be the first country in Asia to legalize same-sex unions.

5. Shaq and Charles Barkley are the best part of the NBA playoffs
The NBA playoffs have been an absolute dud. There has been very little competition and its been known the entire time that it will be Cleveland against Golden State in the finals. The most entertaining part of the playoffs has likely been the back and forths between former players turned broadcasters, Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley. They were at it again on Tuesday night.
