A Utah Highway Patrol officer has been praised for his heroism after rescuing a driver from an oncoming train.
Trooper Ruben Correa’s dashcam captured the moment he ran out of his vehicle to save a man inside of an SUV that had crashed onto the train tracks.
Utah Highway Patrol explained that Trooper Correa had been on a traffic stop nearby when he responded to the report of a car on the tracks.
Trooper Correa immediately ran up to the man in distress and helped him out of the car with just a second to spare.
He said of his actions: "At that point, I actually wasn’t really thinking, I was just doing my job."
