The roles that are taking off in Canada cover a diverse range of positions, and according to this report, there’s a job for everybody in 2018.
Randstad, a Canadian HR firm, has outlined the 15 most in-demand jobs in their annual report for 2018.
The positions range from blue collar jobs like a general labourer, assembler, and forklift operator to high-tech roles like software engineer, to various other professional roles like an accountant, project manager, and administrative assistant.
The list determined that the most needed role in Canada in 2018 is general labourers. Randstad said in their report that general labourers are “the backbone of Canadian industry,” from tasks like cleaning and general handy work.
In second place is a sales representative, tasked with the important role of moving product off the shelves of businesses and into the hands of consumers. Randstad adds that B2B sales positions are also in high demand.
