Can you think of a better way to spend your Sunday than beside Okanagan Lake in one of the most beautiful hidden gems in BC?

Peachland is a charming and beautiful place well-known for its scenic views. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy fun, local activities while spending a relaxing day taking in the small-town energy.

Whether it's the downtown core, the farmer’s market or an exciting hike boasting one of the most stunning views of the entire Okanagan Lake and mountain range, you will have the best Sunday in Peachland this summer!

Take a stroll along Centennial Way

A captivating waterfront walking experience along Centennial Way, also known as Beach Avenue, is the perfect way to begin your day in Peachland.

One side of Beach Avenue is home to a variety of adorable businesses and plenty of benches, picnic tables and more for you to relax and appreciate the sights Peachland has to offer.

The other side boasts a gorgeous lakefront park and multiple docks and beaches for you to bask in the Okanagan sunshine.

Peachland Farmers & Crafters Market

For a sense of community with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, visit the Peachland Farmers & Crafters Market!

From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm every Sunday at Heritage Park, local vendors offer a wide variety of unique crafts, arts and most importantly - foods!

There is always a variety of fresh, colourful and delicious fruits and vegetables available from Okanagan farmers.

Along with the tasty local fare, plenty of natural cosmetic choices, artisan baking and handmade arts are available for purchase too.

The market has a children’s play area and plenty of fun-filled delights for children to enjoy such as face painting and tasty ice cream treats!

Hike up Pincushion Mountain

According to local old-timers, you can’t call yourself a true Peachlander unless you have hiked up Pincushion Mountain.

Peachlander or not, taking in the picture-perfect views of everything from Penticton to Kelowna is an amazing way to spend your Sunday.

Bring along a walking stick and plenty of water, because this trail can be steep at some parts, and is generally dry and gravelly. You may run into some wildlife along the way, too!

Don’t forget to bring your camera, you’re going to want to snap photos with the iconic Canadian flag and the breathtakingly picturesque view in the background.

The venture can take around an hour, but if you get tired there are rest stops along the way.

Heritage Park and Pier

Locals know that Heritage Park and Pier are the loveliest places in the area.

Ray Kandola Heritage Pier is the perfect way to get a prime view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The pier is wheelchair-accessible and therefore offers tourists of all abilities the opportunity to take in exquisite, unobstructed views of Peachland.

The pier is made up of high-quality Douglas Fir stretching along the charming Peachland shoreline for around 400 feet.

The pretty park offers plenty of amenities including washrooms, a public square with picnic areas, benches, a playground and a Bat Interpretive Trail which educational stroll that highlights bats, their importance to our ecosystem, and how we can best support and nurture them.

It’s the perfect place to bring the family for a peaceful Sunday to enjoy your fare from the Farmers Market.
