A wildlife zoo in Litchfield Park, Arizona, experienced a frightening scene Saturday evening when a woman climbed into the jaguar enclosure.
According to Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium and Safari Park, witnesses reported seeing a visitor climb over the barrier to get a photo of the animals.
The woman sustained non-life threatening injuries to her arm from one of the female jaguars and paramedics were called at the request of the family.
Please understand why barriers are put in place. Sending prayers to the family tonight. pic.twitter.com/2MPb8bXhwR

“At no time was the animal out of its enclosure,” the Wildlife World Zoo said in a statement.
“The incident is being fully investigated.”
After numerous inquiries as to the condition of the jaguar and the zoo’s plans to handle the incident via social media, Wildlife Zoo ensured Twitter users that “nothing will happen to our jaguar.”
We can promise you nothing will happen to our jaguar. She’s a wild animal and there were proper barriers in place to keep our guests safe- not a wild animals fault when barriers are crossed. Still sending prayers to her and her family.
