The newest fire started just east of San Diego on Thursday.
On Thursday, about two dozen Thoroughbred Race Horses were killed in the Lilac Fire. Trainers attempted to rescue and load as many horses as time would allow, but the rest were set loose and trainers simply hoped for the best.
Instead, the horses were set free, but many didn't make it out.
Now, a GoFundMe page has been started to help both people and horses in the Lilac Fire area.
Donations for veterinary care for these horses, and all those affected by the Lilac Fire can be made here: https://t.co/CKmO7HTA7P hoping us Canadian horsemen can help any way we can.
