As more information comes out about Stephen Paddock, it’s become apparent that Route 91 Harvest Festival might not have been his first target.
Las Vegas police confirmed on Wednesday that the shooter had rented a room at another Vegas hotel during a different music festival.

“He obtained a room at The Ogden, which is located downtown, at the same time that Life Is Beautiful was being conducted,” said Sheriff Joseph Lombardo.
The Ogden overlooks Life Is Beautiful, which is a more mainstream music festival that took place the weekend before Route 91 Harvest Festival.
This year’s Life Is Beautiful lineup featured Chance The Rapper, Muse, Lorde, Gorillaz, Blink-182 and many more notable names.
It's also a much bigger festival than Route 91 Harvest Festival, with 50,000 daily attendees compared to 22,000.
In addition, TMZ reported that Paddock also booked rooms overlooking Chicago’s massive Lollapalooza festival in August, but police didn’t confirm that on Wednesday.
Paddock killed 58 people and injured 489 others when he opened fire on Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas on Sunday.
