{"result":"update_story","description":"<p>A rock legend will be making his way to the Central Okanagan later this year.<\/p> <p><meta charset=\"utf-8\" \/><\/p> <p dir=\"ltr\">John Fogerty announced a pair of British Columbia concert dates today, which includes a stop at Prospera Place in Kelowna on Wednesday, Aug. 21.<\/p> <p dir=\"ltr\">Fogerty, of course, was the frontman for the iconic band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) and has enjoyed a fruitful solo career over the past five decades and change.<\/p> <p><img alt=\"&lt;who&gt;Photo Credit: Getty Images\" src=\"https:\/\/imagedelivery.net\/rCY_-t_NaBnc_UkEr8yoCA\/54b57cb8-e43b-493f-4a03-418285e31e00\/instory\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" \/><\/p>\n\t\t<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1515615292703-0\" class=\"dfp-ad dfp-in-content\" style=\"margin-bottom:15px;\">\n\t\t<script>\n\t\t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(\"div-gpt-ad-1515615292703-0\"); });\n\t\t<\/script>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t <p dir=\"ltr\">His 2024 summer tour is all about celebrating CCR, which means you&rsquo;ll surely hear classics like &ldquo;Bad Moon Rising,&rdquo; &ldquo;Down on the Corner,&rdquo; &ldquo;Have You Ever Seen the Rain,&rdquo; &ldquo;Proud Mary&rdquo; and plenty others at Prospera in August.<\/p> <p dir=\"ltr\">George Thorogood &amp; The Destroyers are also serving as the opening act for many of Fogerty&rsquo;s summer shows, but it has not been confirmed whether he will be a part of the show in Kelowna.<\/p> <p>Along with those CCR hits, another song you&rsquo;ll almost certainly hear in August is the iconic track &ldquo;Centerfield,&rdquo; which earned Fogerty an induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame.<\/p> <p>As you might expect, he&rsquo;s the only man who is in both the Baseball Hall of Fame and Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame.<\/p> <p dir=\"ltr\">Tickets to see Fogerty at Prospera Place on Aug. 21 will go on sale through <a href=\"http:\/\/livenation.com\">Live Nation<\/a> at 10 am on Friday, April 19.<\/p>","title":"CCR frontman John Fogerty coming to Kelowna this summer"}
