The 21st season of The Bachelor premieres on ABC tonight and a B.C. woman is one of the 30 contestants.
Vancouver photographer, Hailey Merkt, will be competing for Nick Viall’s heart on the popular reality show.

The 23-year-old is one of two Canadians to make the final cut for the show’s 21st season, with the other hailing from Montreal, Quebec.
"So excited to be representing Vancouver, BC as the least enthusiastic Bachelor contestant to date," Merkt posted to Instagram. "Just kidding. Literally the best experience of my life. Can't wait to watch all my friends!"
Merkt joins a list of Canadian contestants on the show that most notably includes Jillian Harris and Kaitlyn Bristowe.
Harris came third on the 13th season of the show before becoming the Bachelorette for the fifth season of that show.
Bristowe was on the 19th season of the show, where she also placed third, before becoming the season 11 Bachelorette.
Season 21 gets underway on ABC at 8 p.m. tonight.
