As part of a new filtering system by YouTube, some creators are noticing that their content is being blocked.
On Sunday and Monday, many outspoken LGBTQ YouTubers took to Twitter to call out the site for blocking their videos to people on restricted mode.
This new feature is meant to block potentially inappropriate content to younger viewers, but has been met with a significant amount of backlash.
For instance, most of the music videos by Canadian recording artists Tegan and Sara can’t be viewed, along with content by gay YouTuber Tyler Oakley.
If you put @YouTube on restricted mode a bunch of our music videos disappear. I checked myself. LGBTQ people shouldn't be restricted. SAD!

Since the discussion sparked, Youtube has responded on Twitter, although their is no sign that the “confusion” has been fixed.
