New data from the BC Coroners Service show that drug-related deaths are down 37% in the province.
There were 79 suspected deaths from illegal drugs in August of this year.
Last year, the August figure was 125.
The worst-affected health authorities this year are Vancouver Coastal and Northern.
Interior Health is least affected.
By death rate, the worst affected cities are Princeton, Grand Forks, Hope, Vancouver and Keremeos.
