1. Saudi Arabia lifts ban on cinemas after 35 years
After more than three decades, Saudi Arabia will once again allow cinemas to operate in the kingdom starting early next year. The Minister of Culture and Information made the announcement on Monday, adding that 300 cinemas with 2,000 screens will be open in Saudi Arabia by 2030.

2. The 2018 Golden Globe nominations are out
We’re approaching awards season and the nominations are starting to come out. The Golden Globes announced its 2018 nominees on Monday and it’s The Shape of Water that leads all films with seven nominees. Both The Post and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri earned six nominations apiece.

3. A Seahawks player attempts to fight fans in Jacksonville
A 30-24 Jacksonville Jaguars win over the Seattle Seahawks ended with controversy on Sunday. After a couple of brawls on the field, fans threw multiple beers at Seattle’s Quinton Jefferson as he left the field. Jefferson channeled his inner Ron Artest and tried to enter the stands to take on the fans himself, but was restrained before he could make it into the crowd.

4. Someone watched Bee Movie 357 times this year
If you feel bad about spending the weekend binge watching that latest show, this news should make you feel a little better. According to data from Netflix, someone in the U.K. streamed Jerry Seinfeld’s animated film Bee Movie 357 times in 2017. With 20 days still left in the year, that means the person has watched the film more than once a day so far.

5. Donald Trump reportedly drinks a dozen Diet Cokes a day
An interesting stat has come out of a New York Times profile on Donald Trump, which saw more than 60 advisers, associates, friends and members of Congress provide a look at the president’s daily routine. Trump reportedly drinks roughly 12 Diet Cokes a day and also spends four to eight hours watching cable news.
