When an entire region is trapped at home for a few days, it’s understandable that there would be a big rush to get groceries once everyone became free. That’s exactly what’s happening in Newfoundland today and the crazy lineups at multiple grocery stores prove it. Hundreds of people are lining up at stores that are opening for eight hours to give people a chance to buy supplies.
The lineup now wraps all around the Sobeys parking lot.

The extradition trial for Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou began in Vancouver on Monday. The Chinese telecommunications giant’s CFO will fight extradition to the United States, more than a year after being arrested on suspicion of fraud and breaching US sanctions on Iran.

San Francisco 49ers’ offensive assistant Katie Sowers is going to make history when the Niners take the field in Miami for Super Bowl 54. She’ll become both the first woman and the first openly gay coach in Super Bowl history. In an added twist, the Sowers family is from Kansas City, whose Chiefs will be the Niners’ opponent.

Hillary Clinton didn’t hold anything back when speaking about Bernie Sanders in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. She said that nobody likes Sanders and nobody wants to work with him, adding that he’s a career politician who got nothing done during his time as a Vermont senator.

If there’s one place that likely has the biggest uphill battle when it comes to reducing or banning single-use plastics, it’s China. However, the world’s biggest plastic producer says it’s going to make that effort and it’ll reduce its single-use plastic by the year 2025.
China is banning plastic bags in supermarkets and shopping malls in major cities by the end of 2020 in a bid to cut plastic waste.
